This design was inspired by the dragons by Satoshi Kamiya featured in his book "Works of Satoshi Kamiya vol. 1". The first version of this model had a much shorter neck and smaller wings, and the second had a head which was far too reminiscent of Kamiya's Ancient Dragon.
